I had built a pair of Takom's and this is the second one; the AML 60 CS. Comments about the 90 kit apply to the 60's. This car was one of the 16 sent to Cyprus and served there attached to the various Irish battalion's sent there between 1964-1973. Decals are home design and printed. This car( Reg 420) is also featured as part of the Irish Military Vehicles Group collection and I may do another with their insignia.

Oh and diorama setting is based on photos I found on-line and the battalion summaries of each trip (in particular 11-13 Infantry Group between 68-70) ; at the time there was a need to have detailed road maps.

Fair play to Takom for bringing them to the market. Lovely job and it's always good to see an Irish AFV. :o)b

Great to see an Irish subject for an AFV diorama. Super result I must say and those homemade decals did the job nicely! The shape of the base caught my eye. Any particular reason for the unusual shape?

Fantastic work and you should be very proud of it.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks for all the kind comments.

The base is a wooden place holder with a handle..... it was cheap, it its fits on the window sill in my room, I can pick it up easy and you can fit a Panhard on them !!
