Hi All,

Lots of very useful info on this thread but can I just ask what is currently believed to be the best compressor to buy?

Don.

Lots to choose from but deffo try to get an oil filled silent one with a reservoir tank, you can add bits and pieces on also, i stuck 3 water traps onto mine and a pressure adapter, the fittings on most are universal, so if you get a compressor you can add the expansion tank, you can put traps between the compressor and the tank and then after the tank as well and the put a pressure adjuster after the tank which will allow you to adjust the flow. Find a place that does air compressors of all types they will have the fittings it not hard and any reasonable compressor when matted to a tank with the rest of the bits will give a nice steady flow and no water vapor ingress in the airflow. The better compressor you get the more pressure it will put in the expansion tank and the more consistent flow you will get without pulsing on longer runs with the brush, hope that helps.
