On the ball again Owen. Simple and uncluttered plus subtle understated weathering. Very tasty indeed. :o)b

Re: 1/72 Roden Rolls Royce Armoured Car ,Cork, 1941.

Thanks for the comments lads. I figured out where the location was a while back as I use that junction on a regular basis. There's only two photos of this scene and they actually differ. The photo I used is the one that's rarely published. That's the version used on the cover of Karl Martin's book ,...

Re: 1/72 Irish Army Panhard AML 60 CS,Cyprus 1964.

True Brian, the Ace kits in these cases were weak alright. The second snag is that I think the Model Miniature resin kits are copied from the Ace ones. I did an Ace Panhard A.P.C. Not good, very poor indeed. However I came across another one on ebay and I might manage to produce something presentabl...

Re: 1/72 Irish Army Panhard AML 90 in U.N. livery.

Thanks Brian. Tiny is right. The snag with photos of 1/72 vehicles this small is that it magnifies something that's the
size of your thumb to 1/35 scale. The trouble is that it shows up all the flaws. The kits available aren't great.
That's my excuse anyway. :o)b

Re: 1/72 Irish National Army Peerless Armoured Car,Civil War.

No photos of the build itself Brian but off the top of my head I remember that I had to shorten the engine compartment. It's sometimes claimed that it's the Austin body on a Peerless truck chassis but there's a fair few differences. I extended the kit chassis with bits from the spares box and plasti...
